Welcome to the Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara. LDA Niagara is a Chapter of the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO).
The LDAO was founded in 1963 to help children with learning disabilities. Today, LDAO has a presence in several communities across Ontario.
LDA Niagara is a community-based agency that works with school boards and other community-based agencies to improve services and support for persons with learning disabilities. Dedicated volunteers carry out much of this work.
Community Announcement
We are pleased to announce that Ashley Graham has been appointed Executive Director of LDAN effective May 3, 2010.
Ashley brings a wealth of energy and talent to this position. She has Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Children and Youth Studies and Learning Disabilities (LDs) at Brock University, has completed considerable research work in LDs with children and adults, has been the Program Coordinator for LDAN's "Reading Rocks" at Brock. She has also taught for the Niagara District School Board and for Brock.
